About Mobil PC Guru

Don Riffel, known to many as "The Guru", founded Mobil PC Guru in 2005.  Before starting the business, Don had over 10 years experience working as a network engineer for various companies.  Coworkers, friends, family, and neighbors all would ask him to go to their locations to do computer work.  They trusted his expertise and didn’t want just the average geeky computer tech working on their machines.  The business grew quickly and soon took up more time than his regular full-time job and Mobil PC Guru was born. 

Within a couple years Mobil PC Guru went from sole proprietorship to being incorporated.  It’s now four years later and Mobil PC Guru, LLC provides quality on-site computer solutions for home and office customers and continues to grow. 

Industry Certified

Guru means expert.  Our customers know that when they call Mobil PC Guru that they are getting a certified technician that knows their stuff.  All of our technicians are required to have industry certifications and to go through rigorous training within the company before going to a customer’s site.  Certifications held by our Gurus include: MCSE, A+, Network+, Security+, CCNP.  The Guru, himself, has been a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) since 1999. 

Mobil PC Guru,LLC Goes Green

When it comes to the environment, we want to do the right thing.  In early 2008, we decided to replace our gas guzzling vehicles with SmartCars.  We chose the SmartCar because it gets close to 40 mpg and it’s not a hybrid.  While hybrids get slightly better gas mileage, the trade-off is that they have large batteries that end up in the dump and poison our environment – thanks, but no thanks!  And when gas prices doubled, our prices stayed the same.  By doubling our gas mileage instead, we saved our customers money – now that’s Guru Smart. 

Other Green improvements we’ve made include: 

• We use higher rated energy-efficient replacement parts to do our repairs
• We tweak power settings on computer equipment for maximum efficiency
• We go paperless as much as possible to perform our day-to-day business operations
• and we help customers go paperless as well

Our gurus may be tree huggers, but it’s all worth it if we can save our environment and save customers a little bit of cash while we’re at it.  We are a green company, and we put green in our logo
